About the Scheme



For the welfare of backward classes, Backward Class Department has been established in 1995. At present, under this department, Backward Classes Welfare Directorate, Uttar Pradesh Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation and State Backward Classes Commission are established. Lack of education is only the reason for backwardness of any social class. After a long duration of independence of the country, desired reforms in the educational status of other backward classes are still far. Various efforts have been made to make reforms in educational level. At present, for development of backward classes various schemes are running through the department.

In today’s world computer knowledge is very crucial for getting a job, so the department is providing free computer training program to the OBC individuals belongs to urban and rural areas.The scheme is being operated with the objective to provide better chances of employment to the youth of other backward classes by enhancing their skills.

JLS Computer College is the only institute in the district Unnao to whom this responsibilty have been given by the department from the year 2008 till date to conduct this computer training program to the other backward class candidates.

Eligibility and Features



The eligibility of the scheme are:

  • (10+2) minimum educational qualification required
  • Annual income of parents/guardians should be upto Rs. 100000.00 or less
  • Age should be between 18-35 years
  • The trainee is unemployed and is not taking scholarship from any educational institution
  • Income,Caste and Domicile certificate issued by the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of the district

The features of the scheme are:

  • Both the courses are recognized by the Government of India and State Governments
  • Both the courses are preferred in all Government department for the purpose of employement

Other Information



  • Last Date to apply Online is 20th June 2022

  • Selection proceeding of institutions for computer training is done under chairmanship of Director and selection of beneficiaries is done through a committee constituted under chairmanship of District Magistrate.
  • Trainees will be selected based on the percentage gained in Intermediate examination against the district wise target and remaining eligible applicants will be kept in waiting list
  • Applicants who are applying for Computer Training Scheme, being operated by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, are not getting the benefits of any other government run scheme like Scholarship/Fee reimbursement etc.
  • Students selected under Computer training Scheme (‘O’ Level and ‘CCC’) will be registered and given the training free of cost by the institution.
  • Examination fee for any examination conducted by the NIELIT (Formerly DOEACC), will have to pay by the trainee to NIELIT.
  • If trainee leaves training before completion without any suitable cause, she/he will be required to pay course fee to the government and she/he will not be eligible for above scheme in future.
  • 75% biometric attendance of trainees will be compulsory during the training session. If any trainee makes herself/himself absent for more than 15 or more days without any suitable reason/information, she/he will be replaced by the candidate from waiting list. In such case, the trainee wouldn’t claim any more.
  • A trainee will be eligible for once only to get benefit of ‘O’ Level/’CCC’ computer training scheme, being operated by the Department of Backward Classes Welfare.
